Cootehall is the most picturesque village situated where the River Boyle merges with the Lake and Quay West will be the centre piece of the village. The influx of a large number of medium sized companies relocating to Carrick-on-Shannon can be visibly seen with many new retail & commercial business parks currently under construction. Tesco has recently opened a new state of the art 24 hour centre and the main banks have had a strong branch presence in the town for many years.
